A to Z Challenge - K is for Kitchen

Photo taken just after reno. Believe me, my kitchen has not looked this uncluttered since.

I love my kitchen.

I cook, plan, write, and connect here.

I day dream here.

My desktop computer is here allowing me to recollect people, places and adventures I had through my digital images. I blog here.
My most prized cookbooks are here.

My late mother is here too. Not just watching over me from her photo on the shelf, but on the pages of her cookbooks where she left comments.

I live in my kitchen.

It is a place of tears and laughter; heart to heart conversations and silly banter; sometimes a burnt offering and many more taste sensations; evocative aromas and sweets.

  1. SO much to LOVE in this post April.
Those amazing blue walls. Fab colour choice.
That apron and that warm smile on the face of the person wearing the apron:)
    Garam masala spices! Very impressed.
You're putting this Indian to shame who buys biryani from a local guy who makes it soooo well. I grew up a vegetarian so I tend to stick to cooking vegetarian food, although I eat mutton biryani if anyone's offering;)
I'll trade some jars of Doha sunshine for your raspberry jam...what do you reckon?

    1. Sunshine for jam? You're on, Arti. The new batch of raspberry jam won't be ready until the end of July, but send the jars of sunshine and I'll use them up then return them to you full of fresh red sweetness. Deal?

Glad you enjoyed this post. Thank you for stopping by my kitchen.

  3. I'm convinced. You do cook. Love the windows and all the light they give to your kitchen. Great pictures. http://shirleyjdietz.com/2018/04/12/a-to-z-selling-our-house-letter-l

    1. Thank you, Shirley. My kitchen is indeed where I live and move and have my being, though on days like today when ice pellets and freezing rain pelt down, I'd rather not have so many windows!
      Cheers!
